Dmitry Distant started his career in 2002 in Moscow playing industrial/ebm in small clubs. Little by little he worked out his own recognizable lead-up to music programme that is based on most percussive and dancing acts related to dak electro genre. Eventually he gained popularity among Moscow goth/ebm clubbing circuit. Picking up steam year in, year out in dj sets and in live performances as well Dmitry began to move away from “dark” industrial/ebm sound stepwise looking towards to techno.

Currently his sets consist of 100% selected techno/electro-techno tracks that are mixing on vinyl with the use of different “machines”.

At the moment DJ DISTANT is working on the DISTANT VISIONS project (techno/electro-techno). Presentation carried out in 29 August of 2009.

In autumn 2010 a work of DISTANT VISIONS project “MY RABID” appeared in social networks, that at sight got positive opinions and comments not only among friends in profiles, but also among musicians one of which is Alexey Obraztsov (LATOR) who is called “father of native techno”. The track didn’t pass by musician’s ears from Former Soviet Republics too.
After listening “MY RABID” Kaball, that is rather famous among electro-techno clubbing circuit, proposed to record a track together for the new EP which became a capital track of the release and came out on American label BLACK MONTANAS.
On December 1 , EP “NO TIME” appeared in all digital shops like junodownload, itunes, etc. There’s also made a remix EQUITANT on common track “NO TIME”

In free from everyday vanity time Dmity continues working on full-fledged album

He took part in many parties under TanzFront, worked in famous Moscow electro/industrial band [T.3.R]. In 2007 he founded a TBM project VIRGIN FIX that he left in summer 2009.

From December 2009 and to the present day DISTANT is a part of Moscow TECHNO PUNK formation WAVEFALL as a keyboarder and a back-vocalist. In renew line-up the band is working on the third studio album and from time to time criss-crossing our country and countries of the near abroad.

Distant performed in Moscow clubs “Ikra”, “Gorod”, “Tochka”, “B2”, “Strangel”, Plan B” etc., went on tour in St.-Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Tambov, Kirov, Voronej, Nijni-Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Ulan-Ude and others. He is also a frequent guest in Ukraine and Belarus, particularly in Kiev and Minsk. He is a participant of major rave UNDER PRESSURE.
